Friday the 13th and Priorities

Happy Friday the 13th!

Yes, it's been a while since I've posted. I decided to follow my own advice and prioritize. I'm finishing the rough draft of my w.i.p. by February 16th, my own personal intention. I'm two-and-a-half big scenes away.

Meanwhile, I've got new exercise classes to set up and teach. Plus fighting off a cold and struggling with allergies. Meanwhile, I've read all my favorite fellow blogger's great entries, but haven't had a breath to comment. But I'm getting 'er done and will be back soon!

Anyone superstitious about Friday the 13th? I often have GOOD luck--how about you?

I agree: good luck and bad about even, I'd say. Mostly neutral though. Hope you manage to fight off all those nasties. If it's any consolation I,ve been struggling a bit to keep up with all the commenting I would like to do.

Thanks Dave, yes it is a consolation. I so enjoy reading your blog, but all I've had time and energy to do for the last while is read!

Nah, I've never been superstitious. I don't need my lucky pen to write or anything like that. I think it all boils down to being in control of my own life and not trying to blame some external force for the good time or the bad. Sure, good things happen as do bad; it's probability; it's maths.

Oh, my, I understand about trying to keep up with reading other blogs and commenting cleverly (or even just a common comment).
I struggle to keep up. But often run by, thinking I'll return.
And then there's the dratted problem of my RSS feed not letting me know when someone's posted.
I'm sure you'll meet your 2.16 intention on your W.I.P., but remember what you say about intentions!

You're right, Jim, it is probabilities. And I also believe it's the human tendency to impose patterns on that which has no pattern, in other words, if something goes wrong on Friday the 13th, we notice it, and attribute it to the day.

Thanks, Kathy--I'm getting closer! It's my own personal NaNoWriMo!

I think good luck and bad luck is about believing that there is such a thing. I live at number 13 so I theoretically should have a lot of bad luck but so far it's pretty average, I think, to living anywhere else.

Well, that's pretty cool, Rebecca. Many places in the U.S. won't have the number 13 as an address--or a 13th floor...
