FREEDOMS!

Puck is amazed at his first July Fourth!

And I'm grateful for the freedom to write, live and love!

If you're one of my readers in the States, how do you celebrate the Fourth?

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY EVERYONE!

We went to a movie last night and I'm going to see fireworks tonight!

Puck is getting bigger! (But he's still cute) :)

Sounds like you're having fun, Aubrie--and yes Puck is growing!

I enjoyed the 4th by writing a post of Marlene Dietrich -- an unsung hero of WWII, who for 3 years played to the troops on the front lines with a death sentence on her head by Hitler.

And in that time, she didn't make a single film. But she was awarded the Medal of Freedom. Now, she is unsung and seldom remembered.

I hope you have a great new week after a fabulous 4th. Roland

I am also grateful to be alive, well and have the time to write.

Fourth of July is always a lot of fun for us. We don't do anything special. Our youngest daughter comes over to spend the night, and we have lunch and jut hang out. She's the best ever and we look forward to all of her visits.

I do, however, take time out to think about our great country, what makes us so grate, and all the sacrifices that have gone into the building of this wonderful nation. With all the politics and political correctness that seem to permeate every aspect of our lives, I sometime become cynical and sour. But when the fourth of July comes around, I look to the flag, red, white and blue, and I give thanks for all that we have and to all that have given it to us. Amen.

Take care, happy fourth and happy trails.

We went to the first Annual Chalk Art Contest at a local park and admired the talent of local artists. Inspiring.
Also saw lots of folks in the park, picnicking and waiting for the fireworks, which wouldn't happen for another five or so hours! That's dedication.
I'm glad we're here in our ever so blessed country to enjoy another year of nationhood.

He's so cute!

We spent the Fourth on the beach during the day then we went to a BBQ party at night. We all walked to the beach to watch the fireworks. It was really nice. :)

We should all celebrate our freedoms every day - and never take them for granted. They are not permanently established.

Roland--wow, I never knew that about Marlene Dietrich. Thanks for sharing.

Swu--double what you wrote. Let Freedom Ring.
