August Sunflowers
A happy, fun and safe Labor Day Weekend to all my friends out there. And to those from all over the world who don't have Monday off--the same wishes for the weekend!
And a question for you creative types: do you work or not work, regardless of the day? Do you give yourselves a break? Or is your creative endeavor a break in itself?

Happy Labor Day weekend to you, too! And thanks for posting the beautiful flowers. Just looking at them made me feel more cheerful. :-)
You're welcome, Caryn! And the sunflowers grow wild everywhere here, so delightful (and good for the birds).
Normally, a day is a day for me - I don't stop writing by the calendar. Although now that I'm living with someone who works a somewhat-regular work week, I DO take weekends and holidays off. Once I get buried in a story again, tho, I might not do so - we'll see.
Happy Labor Day! I have close friends moving to McCall, so yet another reason to head down your way, Conda!
Ah, Beth, I would have a similar experience because my partner works 8 to 5, BUT he's also a writer--so weekends are partly for writing too!
And yes, when you get into the w.i.p., everything changes.
And McCall is only 2 1/2 hours away! We'll get together one way or another!
Happy Labor Day!
Since I'm writing today, I guess that's the answer. I write when I can...not when I'm moved by the Muse but when I can get my butt in the chair.
I admit on weekends and holidays I'm apt to slough off and do housey things or just go play.
I work or not work irrespective of the day. Some days, of course, give more opportunity to work, but the day is not important - unless it's a special family day.
As you may have read in one of my previous posts, Kathy, we all need to take a break from time to time to renew, refresh, and just plain rest!
Good point about "family days," Dave, I've just had a few of my own...and if it truly isn't work, but a passion (and from your blog it seems to be, for you)why take a break?
Conda;
The weekend is finally over. We had a great time. Our oldest daughter and her husband came to visit and we went to brunch at a small restaurant - cafe really. After that we had cake, ice cream, opened presents, and generally had a good time.
Love the flower shot.
Happy trails.
Hi, Swu. Sounds like you had a blast for the holiday! Birthday presents, or?
Glad you love the flowers. And I love how sunflowers grow wild everywhere here, so cheerful.
